Looks to be a straight two horse race for the PFA player of the year of the award following yesterday's announcement of the shortlist.
Ronaldo has been superb all season, breaking goalscoring records along the way, and is surely the favourite, but it is easy to forget the impact Torres has had this season - not to mention the number of goals scored and it really could go either way.

I am a liverpool fan and i think ronaldo should get the award but only by a whisker because the frightening thing about torres is how long did it take ronaldo to get used to the prem 3 years? prem defences are already scared witless of torres. He came straight in and banged goals in every where in a lot less creative side. Imagine how good he's gonna be next year with someone just as good as him along side him.
Well I'm a Liverpool fan but you are bang on Ronaldo will just edge it but I am looking forward to see Torres next season when he has "settled" as I think he is going to be awesome!!!
I think ronaldo has done brilliant this season but he has taken three years to get settled in to the premiership, torres has successfully came from the spanish league (the hardest league to come from into the premiership) and has done magnifesant.
Torres on 92% of the vote. Is Robert Mugabe running this poll...?
